A first encounter with Islam is a big thing. This course exists to make sure that everything happens gradually and stays friendly toward extended multicultural families and relatives of other faiths. This course focuses on letting an Islamic marriage take place smoothly. It teaches about Islam, prepares the couple for an Islamic marriage, and covers the adjustments needed to look after the family. Beyond general religious learning, it also introduces the basics of socializing and dressing according to Islamic culture, learning prayer (salah), the principles related to marriage in Islam, and looking after the family according to the set curriculum, studied together by the would-be bride and groom from both families.
Course content
DAY 1
Understanding the overview of Islamic marriage, preparation and adjustment for multicultural families, learning an overview of Islam, Muslim society, and adjustment, learning greetings, meeting etiquette, dress, and basic manners according to the culture, and more, in various situations, with ARAYA — including guidance on preparing documents, precautions, and what needs to be prepared for a couple who want an Islamic marriage with a foreigner.
DAY 2
Morning: Learning the practices and pillars of faith, and general knowledge about the principles of Islam, from qualified teachers, along with observing prayer (salah).
Afternoon: Learning ritual ablution (wudu) and how to pray, from qualified teachers, practicing prayer together with the teachers.
DAY 3
Morning: Further learning of prayer and ritual ablution, plus learning to use various tools needed to help with prayer for new Muslims, from qualified teachers, and an introduction to offline and online tools for learning more about Islam in future. Practicing prayer together with the teachers.
Afternoon: Learning the religious principles related to marriage, learning how to look after an extended multicultural family according to Islamic principles, learning to live together with and care for relatives of a different faith, from qualified teachers, practicing prayer together with the teachers. Course completion, with a certificate awarded by ARAYA Nikah Planner and Consult.

The highlight is teaching in a friendly style that covers every aspect of Islam necessary for marriage, with an emphasis on helping the couple understand the basics of organizing an Islamic wedding, and prepare the various documents needed for an Islamic marriage with a foreigner with clear understanding.

1. Upon completing the set curriculum, if the couple wishes, they can request to enter Islam — entering Islam led by a qualified teacher and the ARAYA Nikah Planner team, on the day the course finishes, and family members may be invited to attend.
2. Initial guidance on the upcoming wedding, including help with preparing documents, contact methods, planning a suitable event date, and more, plus a special discount if the Islamic wedding is organized with ARAYA.
