🌐 Ecosystem of Peace: A Peace Ecosystem in the Context of Thailand’s Multiculturalism
Introduction
In today’s global society, cultural and religious conflicts have grown increasingly complex, at the family, community, and economic levels alike. Structural violence, embedded within social, economic, and policy systems, often cannot be resolved through negotiation or ad-hoc measures alone (Galtung, 1969). For this reason, developing a social and economic ecosystem capable of accommodating cultural diversity is an important approach to building “structural peace.”
Ecosystem of Peace is a concept developed by ARAYA Nikah Social Enterprise to create a systemic mechanism connecting individuals, families, communities, and the economy, generating a sustainable circle of peace, using digital tools and a multi-party cooperation framework as its core.
No conflict can be considered higher or lower than another — all conflicts arise equally, and have an equal right to be addressed, through transcendence and transformation.
Johan Galtung
🔑 Core Concept: From the Individual to a Peace Ecosystem
Ecosystem of Peace consists of three main components developed in the following sequence:
🏡 1. Family of Peace: Family of Peace — Currently Underway
“Women and children are protected from human trafficking and fraudulent marriages within the Muslim community (SDG 5). At the same time, over 70% of working-age Muslim men effectively develop family economic management skills through online courses focused on building leadership and social participation (SDG 8), while strengthening the family institution’s stability and resilience (SDG 16), together with building a Muslim Family Digital Safe Space network, in line with the emerging era of Digital Citizenship, to prepare for ongoing social and technological change.”
Impact – Family of Peace – ARAYA NIKAH
ARAYA began by addressing vulnerabilities in cross-cultural families, developing the Nikah Guardian Thailand Framework, a mechanism to protect women and children from human trafficking, fraudulent marriages, and domestic violence (SDG 5). At the same time, over 70% of working-age Muslim men have been supported in developing family economic management skills, through courses focused on leadership and social participation (SDG 8).
The result is the formation of a Muslim Family Digital Safe Space, a digital safe space for learning, counseling, and family development, to prepare for the era of digital citizenship in an ethical manner (SDG 16). This impact is declared in the founding intent of the social enterprise.

🌏 2. Economy of Peace: Economy of Peace — (Moving to digital, phase 2, 2026)
“Thai entrepreneurs of all religions can sustainably generate income from cross-cultural trade and multicultural tourism routes (SDG 8). At the same time, Thai society develops toward an Economy of Peace, by reducing cultural conflict through connecting people of different religions within the economic system (SDG 16), while building a Multicultural Trade Digital Safe Space that supports coexistence with dignity and flexibility in the era of Digital Citizenship.”
Impact Economy of Peace – ARAYA NIKAH
Building on a stable family foundation, ARAYA has developed an approach to promote cross-cultural trade and multicultural tourism routes through a digital platform, to be developed in 2026, aimed at helping Thai entrepreneurs of all religions access the global Muslim market sustainably.
This platform serves as a Multicultural Trade Digital Safe Space, reducing cultural limitations, increasing understanding, and building an economic network that honors diversity (SDG 8, 16), under the principle of “respecting identity while connecting through the economy.”

🌐 3. Ecosystem of Peace: Peace Ecosystem — Unified into One System by 2029
“Thai society moves toward an Ecosystem of Peace that sustainably connects individuals, families, communities, and the economy (SDG 5, SDG 8, SDG 10, 16), where women and children are protected within cross-cultural families, men and entrepreneurs develop leadership and economic management skills to build stability at both the family and business level, while a multicultural economic system encompassing tourism routes and cross-cultural trade helps reduce cultural conflict, together with building a ‘Digital Safe Ecosystem’ that supports both families and entrepreneurs, preparing society for the era of Digital Citizenship.”
Impact Ecosystem of Peace – ARAYA NIKAH
Within the next 3 years, ARAYA aims to combine Family of Peace and Economy of Peace into a holistic, integrated ecosystem, covering:
- Protection of human rights at the family level
- Generating income and meaningful work within a multicultural economy
- Developing communities into spaces of understanding and peaceful coexistence
- Elevating Thailand’s role as a leader in the Peace Economy at the ASEAN level
This system aims to create a continuously turning cycle of happy individuals → happy families → happy communities → a happy economy → happy individuals, strengthening resilience and reducing structural vulnerability in Thai society.

🎯 Conclusion: ARAYA’s Role as a Catalyst for Peace
ARAYA’s Ecosystem of Peace is not merely a technical or business plan, but a system innovation that responds to global challenges, including SDG 5, 8, 10, and 16.
We firmly believe that when individuals, families, communities, and the economy are connected with dignity at every level, sustainable peace will not remain merely a dream, but will become the structure of a new society in the 21st century.
