Islamic Wedding Ceremony: Nong Ing and Nong Champ, Sukhothai Hotel Sathorn

The Islamic wedding ceremony of Nong Ing and Nong Champ was organized as a nikah followed directly by a reception, without an on-stage program. There were 80 guests, with the team handling everything from start to finish — including the bride and groom’s outfits, hijab styling, wedding consultation by our wedding Specialist team, the event schedule and MC, and the photo and video teams.

The atmosphere during hair and makeup, hijab styling, and the moments before the ceremony began. The bride’s outfit and hijab were styled and arranged by the Araya Islamic Wedding team, who took care of not only the bride’s hijab styling but also that of any guests who wanted the team’s help.

The atmosphere just before the ceremony began

The atmosphere while the mahr procession was being formed — also known as the “khan mak” procession, or the procession of gifts the groom brings to the bride — with the bride waiting at the ceremony area. The procession is formed by the groom’s side, while the bride’s side waits at the nikah ceremony area.

The atmosphere of the nikah ceremony, or Islamic wedding ceremony. After the ceremony there is a moment of drinking date milk and taking photos together. The nikah can be arranged seated on the floor or in chairs — there are several factors involved in that choice, and you can consult a wedding specialist to help choose the nikah seating arrangement best suited to the venue, the occasion, and those involved.

Afterward comes a family activity — putting on rings, registering the marriage, and receiving guidance from the family elders as advice for family life going forward.

The atmosphere during “rap salam,” or receiving greetings — this is when the bride and groom receive guidance from family elders as advice for family life ahead.

After the Islamic wedding ceremony concluded, the families escorted the bride to the room prepared for her, and photos were taken together

This was the first event where the admin took on full responsibility for overseeing the whole event. It was a wedding that began from the meeting of two faiths, and it went on to inspire several other couples. It was this event that led the admin to become a Thai Muslim cross-culture wedding specialist — something I still remember fondly to this day. Congratulations again to Nong Ing and Nong Champ, and to the families of Pi Tao and Pi Kai.
