The Islamic wedding ceremony of Vilasinee&Akekarat, or Khun Prae and Khun Ek, was managed by our wedding specialist team, planned as a nikah ceremony followed by an evening reception, accommodating 300 guests overall — 50 guests for the nikah ceremony and 300 guests for the reception
Coordinated by Bung Joke, Thai Muslim Wedding Specialist
Arranged with theater-style seating, accommodating 50 guests for the nikah ceremony

The atmosphere of the nikah ceremony, or Islamic wedding ceremony. In this part, the imam leads the ceremony, which generally consists of a Quran reading, a sermon (khutbah nikah), followed by the nikah itself, drinking date milk, and taking photos together.

After the nikah ceremony comes a family activity, where rings are exchanged between the bride and groom to be kept as photo mementos, along with “rap salam” — the moment when both families’ elders offer their blessing for the couple’s married life.

The atmosphere during “rap salam,” when both families’ elders offer blessings and guidance for family life to the bride and groom. During this activity, the groom typically prepares gifts — usually practical, everyday items — for the family elders.

After the ceremony concluded, the team coordinated with the hotel to have the room turned over entirely into the reception hall. During that time, the bride and groom changed outfits, took photos, and welcomed guests at the entrance.

The atmosphere as the on-stage program began — the bride and groom took the stage, and the program included their introduction, remarks from the officiant, an interview with the couple, cutting the cake for the family elders, and the bouquet toss.

And that brings us to the end of this Islamic wedding ceremony, a nikah followed by a reception, managed by the Arayawedding team. This was a sweet and warm event that our team will always keep close to heart.
