Overview
Legally-effective Nikah is the route where your ceremony’s documents are prepared so they can be legalised — for example at your country’s consulate. It fits couples who need the marriage to carry legal effect at home or abroad. The ceremony itself is fully and equally Islamic, and you can hold it simple (Express) or full-scale with guests and a hosted setting.
No secret nikah — every marriage we support is disclosed properly to family and community, to protect the couple’s marital standing under Islamic practice.
Who it’s for
- Couples who will take the marriage documents to a consulate or destination-country authority
- Couples who want to proceed to civil marriage registration (Thai ทะเบียนสมรส) after the nikah
- Cross-national couples where one side’s country requires certifiable documents
If you only need religious validity and speed, see the Religious-only nikah (Shariah) route.
Documents & time
This route needs more supporting documents and preparation time — allow at least 1 month to gather documents · the ceremony takes ~30 minutes, allow a full day · plan 2-3 days in Thailand overall (14+ days with extra civil registration). Your personal document list comes with the quotation; see the document checklist for the overview.
Foreign acceptance of any document is always the destination country’s own decision, not something ARAYA or any provider can guarantee.
