The group nikah system is a way of holding an Islamic wedding that Araya Company designed so that couples with limited income can hold their nikah together with other couples, with no need for relatives to attend. The event can be arranged for only the necessary costs, with the company providing the witnesses. The bride and groom only need to bring the required documents and the mahr matching those documents, to be presented and handed over to the bride at the appointed time.
Format of the group nikah
- The group nikah takes about 30–60 minutes, held on a weekday (not Saturday or Sunday). (If you arrive late or do not show up as scheduled, your slot will be automatically forfeited and no refund will be given.)
- The company arranges all the witnesses and the officiant for the nikah.
- Dress should be modest and simple: the bride should wear a proper hijab, and the groom should wear a shirt with long trousers. (No large or overly full wedding gowns.)
- Only the bride and groom may attend.
- A photo spot, with a photographer capturing the overall atmosphere of the event.
- Photos of the ring exchange and the handing over of the mahr.
- Family members will receive an online link so they can join remotely.
- Refreshments and boxed catering are provided.
- The mahr must be prepared in the amount stated in the documents, and handed over to the bride in front of the witnesses.

Document preparation
- Both the bride and groom must be Thai nationals.
- A copy of the groom’s national ID card, showing Islam as his religion.
- A copy of the bride’s national ID card, showing Islam as her religion.
- If the bride or groom has not yet entered Islam, they must complete a course from a recognized institution or mosque, or be confirmed by a Muslim guardian as having been taught, or complete the company’s own course. (If the course was taken through Araya’s program, the same documents can be used without needing to change the religion listed on the ID card.)
- **A copy of the bride’s guardian’s national ID card.
Regarding the bride’s guardian: if she was born Muslim, the guardian must be a wali or close relative according to Islamic principles. If she is a new Muslim or has recently entered Islam, her mother or a close female relative may serve in this role.

Documents that must be signed and given to the company
**A consent letter from the bride’s guardian authorizing Araya Company to conduct the nikah.
**An agreement letter acknowledging that Araya Company’s involvement in the nikah has no legal effect.
